Have a wonderful tour round the Old Town of Bridlington using the Old Town Trail and learn about the history behind many of the buildings in and around this beautiful location.
As you saunter through the ancient streets of the Bridlington Old Town, you will notice many fascinating old buildings, untouched by development. This trail will take you to some fine heritage landmarks that will sustain the interest of both young and old.
The Bridlington Priory Church was 900 years young in 2013 and was celebrated with many womderful events.
The Priory was founded in 1113AD by Walter de Gant. The Priory now boasts some beautiful Tapestry, Bells which date from the 1500's and a tremendous Organ which was fully restored in 2006. And don't forget to look for the Mouseman of Kilburn furniture!
Dads Army Trail.
2014 has been a spectacular year for the Bridlington Old Town with the remake of the famous 1960's sitcom Dads Army being filmed on location in Bridlington Old Town and the surrounding area. Coming soon is the Dads Army Trail - showing where Catherine Zeta Jones, Toby Jones and the 'A-List' cast produced the wonderful Dads Army new movie.
The Bayle Museum is a Grade 1 Listed scheduled monument situated in the Bridlington Old Town.
The former entrance to the Augustinian Priory now houses a museum dedicated to the history of the town of Bridlington.
