Carol Davidson - August 2017
Carol Davidson has taken over as the visiting artist at
The Old Town Gallery and Information Point for August 2017.
The Old Town Gallery and Information Point is pleased to announce that the visiting artist for August 2017 is Carol Davidson.
Carol has always had a keen interest in art but only started watercolour painting when she took early retirement. Since then Carol has been so entranced by its challenges that she now paints solely in watercolour.
Carol Davidson has been exhibiting her watercolour works regularly in Yorkshire and Cleveland . Carol has also been lucky enough to win a number of awards for my work.
For the last 3 years Carol has been immensely proud to be one of only 15 artists chosen to represent England at a prestigious watercolour exhibition and convention in Italy - Fabriano In Acquarello.
In 2016 she became the North East Regional Head of the International Watercolour Society England, and following this in 2017 she was asked to be the leader of the English delegation and to co-ordinate the selection, and transportation of the chosen works.
Carols watercolour "Water Power" is now part of the permanent collection of works in the International Watercolour Museum in Fabriano.
Her subjects are diverse although she favours landscape and marine subjects - which makes Carol Davidson an ideal fit for Bridlington and the Old Town Gallery and Information Point!
